ADS41B49: DDR connection

Hi E2E,

Good day.

Can we write directly into DDR memory without the need for an FPGA? Our customer would like to capture a signal at 250MSPS during 10miliseconds then process it with a microcontroller then send the results through a communication channel such as 3G.

Hi Carlo,

The ADS41B49 does not have any DDR memory in the device.

The LVDS bus of the ADS41B49 is double data rate based LVDS interface. However, it is not the DDR memory like in the PC or FPGA EVM.

Do you have any suggestion for a high-speed ADC that can write into DDR directly and not used an FPGA?

I am not aware of any high speed ADCs that can write into DDR directly.
