ADS131B04-Q1EVM: Why does software install need admin privileges?

Part Number: ADS131B04-Q1EVM

Could someone explain why admin privileges are required to run this software every time the software is run? Trying to understand for business justification with internal IT request since I do not have admin privileges to my machine.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your post. It sounds like the EVM GUI was released with a similar restriction as explained in this thread:

I'll contact the team who developed the GUI and request that they implement the same fix.

Awesome, I would appreciate it! I have the same issue where I checked off the administrator, so I hope we can get this resolved soon.

Hi Nancy - our software development team is aware of this and working on the change. Depending on other projects, it may take a few days or so. I'll post an update here when the updated installer is available.
