ADS8588S: Open circuit input detection

Dear all,

I would like to know if this ADC has a feature similar than the one included in the equivalent AD7606B for detecting if an analog input is unconnected (floating). In case no, is there any easy way to achieve it?

Hi Jaume,

ADS8588S does not have this kind of feature, however we do have a solution to detect if the input is floating, also this solution offers a true high input impedance and lower noise. Please see the cookbook circuit below:

Note that this solution was designed for ADS8681, but it definitely works for ADS8588S. Please let me know if you have any question.
