ADS5463: ADS5463 PCB recommendation

Part Number: ADS5463

Hi Sir,

Could you please help recommend the PCB layout requirement for the ADS5463?

What's the impedance for the input PCB trace for the ADS5463 pin16 and pin17 ?

Do I need to use microstrip?

Do I need add void under the input pins(pin 16 and pin17) of ADS5463?

What's the impedance for the output of ADS5463?

    Hi Feng,

    The PCB traces are 50ohm impedance. Microstrip or stripline is fine to use. Microstrips are easier to acquire a signal and troubleshoot. So this is typically the way we would layout the EVM.

    Voiding is only need to help improve the impedance. This is typically done when a smaller trace is used in conjunction with a larger pad. The larger pad causes a discontinuity in the 50ohm impedance, This would be where the void is created and on the next layer down.
