Hi Vast,
U2 is a 2-input mux to allow a provision for an external clock to the ADS1220. The default is for the CLK pin to be set low for use of the internal oscillator of the ADS1220 to be used as the clock source. U2 is not needed in normal operation. Either an external clock will be supplied directly to the ADS1220 CLK pin or the CLK pin will be grounded to use the internal oscillator.
