Hi, I have a components question that needs to be answered for one of the thermal analysts. The datasheet for the ADS7804UB part says that normal operation is up to 85C. It also states that it can operate in a derated condition up to 125C although the datasheet does not specify what happens in the derated condition. We would like TI to clarify what the derated specifications of this part are. Thanks!
I created Case CS0494521 with the part data sheet attached there but Jejomar Ildefonso asked me to pose my questions here.
The datasheet specified the Temperature Range for the "Specified Performance" and "Derated Performance" but does not state what the derated performance will be or how to calculate that performance.
We might not have to upscreen this specific part if the derated performance still meets our functional needs.
We can easily determine performance if we knew which tolerances need to be derated.
Thanks,
Li
Hi Li,
Unfortunately we do not have specific details available for the 'Derated Performance' of the ADS7804. This device was released in 1992 as part of the Burr Brown portfolio of data converters. Generally speaking, you can expect wider drift errors on the reference which will impact SNR and THD.
