ADC32J45EVM: How to setup VCXO and differential inputs on ADC32J45ECM

Part Number: ADC32J45EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC32J45, LMK04828

Hi team,

I got questions from customer.

On the ADC32J45EVM can I change the resistor connections at the channel A and B inputs to have a differential signal instead of single ended?

Do I need to provide a clock to the ADC32J45 or can I use the VCXO installed to run the LMK04828?

Do I need to change any components, besides the jumper connections, to use the VCXO?

Thanks,

Best regards,

  • Hi Zhonghui,

On the ADC32J45EVM can I change the resistor connections at the channel A and B inputs to have a differential signal instead of single ended?

Yes, but the EVM has just one SMA connector installed by default, so an SMA connector must be soldered down for full differential input.

Do I need to provide a clock to the ADC32J45 or can I use the VCXO installed to run the LMK04828?

By default, we recommend using the VCXO to provide a clean reference to the LMK. The user will not need to provide a clock.

Do I need to change any components, besides the jumper connections, to use the VCXO?

No component changes should be necessary if using the EVM User's Guide to start EVM operation.

    Best Regards,

    Dan
