Hi,

     I need to develop a 0..10V/12Bits converter and I chose ADS8504. This product will be my first analog to digital converter.

     Will I need to use a microcontroler to get the bits correctly?

     If anyone have any suggestion, schematic and so one, pease send me.

    Hi Edson,

    Yes, you will need a micro controller to use the ADS8504 device.  Something like one of the MSP430 micro controllers would do.  The ADS8504 has a BYTE pin that would allow you to retrieve two bytes of data via one 'port' on the MSP430.  I'll look around to see if we have a representative schematic to get you started.
