ADS803 - Differential input

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS803, THS4531, THS4521

Hi,

I planned to use ADS803 ADC for my audio processing system.

I am feeding the audio signal to ADC.

The audio input is differential.

But the differential setup given in ADS803 datasheet involves transformer.

The transformer I guess is used to add the common mode dc to the input signal.

But I dont want to use the transformer.

Could you suggest a typical differential input circuit ?

Thanks and regards,

Karthik

  • Karthik,

You could use a fully differential amplifier instead of the transformer to convert from single-ended to differential. I know a little work has been done with using the THS4521 or THS4531 for audio ADC drivers, so these are probably a good starting point for you.
