Details required regarding Full Scale Range of ADC12D1000RF/ADC12D1600RF

Hi,

I am working on ADC12D100RF. in the data sheet in Section 3.6 "Converter Electrical Characteristics Analog Input/Output and Reference Characteristics" it is mentioned that when the ADC is used in non Extended Control Mode the FSR of low pin is typically 600 mVp-p and that of High pin is 800 mVp-p.

I want to know why is there a difference between between the two FSR. Should not they be same?

Hi Usama,

In Non-extended control mode, FSR pin can be set low or high to adjust the analog differential input full scale range for typical values of 600 mVP-P and 800 mVP-P respectively. The higher full scale range would provide us best SNR performance whereas better SFDR and distortion are obtained with a lower full scale input range.
