Error Code 85 on ads1259EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADCPRO, ADS1259, ADS1256

When starting ADCPro I get a message window pop up that says:

An error occurred with error code 85

Scan From String (arg 2) in

libmmb0.lvlib:EEPROM Check ID.vi-

>ADS1259evm.lvlib:ADS1259EVM.lvclass:

ADS1259EVMPanel.vi:1

I have downloaded the latest software, have seen this on both a RevC and RevD MMB0, and seen it on both Windows7 and XP machines.

FWIW, the device manager shows libusb-win32 devices

USBStyx

What am I doing wrong please?

  • Glenn,

Error Code 85 generally happens when ADCPro tries to read the EEPROM that we put on the EVM. Usually, we use this to make sure that the ADCPro plug in recognizes that this is the correct EVM to work with. The error means that the EEPROM programmed with invalid data, it's not programmed or there's been a bad EVM setup or firmware load.

You can bypass the EEPROM check and get the ADCPro plug-in to work. Just go to this post and follow the methodology explained in it. Just substitute "ADS1259" for "ADS1256".

Try it and let me know if it worked.
