ADS8328 Writing to the Converter

Hi, I'm a student trying to program an ADS8328 but I've had a little problem interpreting the datasheet.

Table 4, on page 30 of the datasheet, has a list of serial commands. However, I am unsure when the ADS8328 starts "listening" for commands. Is it triggered by the falling edge of FS?

Hi Joseph,

Yes, you are correct. CS/FS works as chip select input for the SPI interface. You will issue the command on the SDI line after the falling edge of CS as shown on Figures (1)-(4) on p12-13. The SDO outputs the MSB data (after EOC) at the falling edge of CS/DS.
