Hi,

I would like to ask you a question about the difference between AFE5807/5808/5808A/5809.

Sorry, I do not understand well the major difference between these devices but noise performance, digital-demodulator and power consumption.

Could you teach me what the major difference is?

Best Regards,

Takumi

  • Sorry let me ask you one more point, the analog circuits of these device are the same, correct?

    Takumi,

The AFE5808A is only a better version of the AFE5808.  We only recommend AFE5808A for new designs.

The AFE5807 ADC is similar to AFE5808A, but modified slightly to support 12-bit, 80-MSPS,117mW/ch mode.  So, it is a faster and lower power version, but 14b performance is less. AFE5807 VCA defaults to low power mode, but supports low noise mode.

The AFE5809 is very similar to the AFE5808A, but adds the I/Q digital demodulator feature.  The VCA also supports low -frequency applications.

    Hi Chuck-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
    I could understand well.
Let me confirm one point, about the LNA, the LNA part is the common between these device, right?

    Regards,

    Takumi
