How does performance of the ADC08060 degrade as the clock is increased beyond 60MHz? The data sheet implies that it operates at least at 70MHz, although it's fully specified only up to 60MHz. Does the ENOB degrade gracefully with increased clock rate

Could I run for example at 100MHz? 150MHz? Is there perhaps a graph of ENOB vs clock rate? Or does the ADC08060 fail catastrophically beyond 60MHz?

Hi Steve

The ADC08060 is tested to operate at 60 MHz maximum clock rate. Individual units may function above 60 MHz clock rate but operation and/or performance is unknown.

If operation at 100 MHz clock rate is desired please consider the similar ADC08100 device which is pin compatible.

OK, thanks. I only need an ENOB of 5, so I was hoping to just run the 60MSPS part faster.

Since we don't production test the ADC08060 devices at higher clock frequencies we can't make any statements about them being functional or meeting any minimum performance criteria above 60 MHz clock rate.
