ADC12D500RF: ADC12D1000 vs ADC12D500RF vs ADC12D1000RF

Part Number: ADC12D500RF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC12D1000RF, ADC12D1000,

i'm looking to sample a 200MHz modulated carrier @ 1GSPS with either ADC12D1000 (non DES ) or ADC12D500RF in DES mode or the ADC12D1000RF

i've seen and used this range of converters for a number of years now but never the RF suffix parts.

can some one please explain which one is more suitable to use and what the difference is with the RF suffix versions of that family of ADCs. looking at the 1k prices, the ADC12D1000 is twice the price of the ADC12D1000 but i don't understand why

quality of measurement is important as the aquired signal is downconverted and demodulated for an instrumentation type application

I would have used something with a JESD204B interface but the IP costs to go down that route with Altera are too prohibitive!

any words of wisdome would be appreciated

thanks
