AMC1306E25: The density of ones in the output bitstream

Hi, I don't understand about the density of ones in the output bit stream.

If there are ten 1s in 100 bits, so the density is 1/10. It's also possible that we can see two 1s in 10 bits, so the density changes to 2/10. What's the period when we consider the density?

This part is compatible with the SDFM function block in C2000 MCU, right? But the clock pin in this part and C2000 MCU are all input, so we need an external clock to drive the clock pin, right? Why we do not design a clock inside and make the clock pin an output?

    Generally speaking, the ones density content of the AMC1306 would be evaluated over the filter OSR settings although you could do the same with an arbitrary number like 10, 20 or 100 samples. The AMC1306E25 is compatible with the C2000 SDFM, and this particular version of the device uses Manchester encoding, which means the SDFM only receives the DOUT bitstream, the CLOCK detail is decoded inside the SDFM peripheral but you do still need an external clock to drive the CLKIN of the AMC1306. The AMC1303 is a sister part to the AMC1306 and has a clock built in, so no need for an external clock source on that part.
