ADS7251: DVDD Supply Voltage

Hi!

A specification of DVDD is indicated on 7 pages of the datasheet.

- DVDD : 1.65V to 5.25V (Operational range)
- DVDD : 1.65V to 3.6V (For specified performance)

I think it's no problem even if DVDD is used by 5V.

Is there a careful point when using by DVDD=5V?

    You are correct that on the datasheet two different ranges are listed. As a point of clarification, when DVDD is between 1.65V and 3.6V all of the perfromance specifications can be met. Once outside of that range and up to 5.25V, the ADC will still function properly but the specifications are not gauranteed.

    My reccommendation would be to use a DVDD less that 3.6V to esnure you can meet the performance specifications required for you system. But if you are going to use a 5V DVDD, then testing for performance specifications should be completed.

    The EVM for the ADS7x51 family can be modified and tested with your expected inputs to test the performance with different DVDD voltages up to 5.25V. To do this, on the EVM depopulate R24 and apply an external DVDD to C14 using a precision DC power supply. See the below image.
