TIDA-01187: Measure longer distance range

Hello

We see the feature of the reference design TIDA-01187 is suggested measurement range from 1.5m to 9m, and we'd like to know if possible to use the reference design to modify for longer distance range measurement, like increase the laser power or adjust the amplifier gain for the signal?

If yes, please give the comments for the modification.

    Hi Simon,

    For longer distance measurement you will need to update the optics and increase the laser power. Find a diode driver which drive a high power FET with very narrow, about a nano second pulses. You will also need to high power laser diode.
