ADS1115-Q1: About the ADC-Q100 qualification by the package of ADS1115-Q1

It is described on page 14 of the ADS1115-Q1 datasheet as follows.

The ADS1115BQDGSRQ1, ADS1114BQDGSRQ1, and ADS1113BQDGSRQ1 package options are AEC-Q100 qualified;
whereas, the ADS1115QDGSRQ1 package option is automotive qualified.

From this explanation, you can see that ADS1115BQDGSRQ1/ADS1114BQDGSRQ1/ADS1113BQDGSRQ1 conforms to AEC-Q100.
However, ADS1115QDGSRQ1 is described as conforming to automotive.

Does this mean that ADS1115QDGSRQ1 does not conform to AEC-Q100?

If the answer is Yes, when proposing an in-vehicle product (Q1 Grade) to a customer, I think that it is necessary to confirm the data sheet every time whether it is a package conforming to AEC-Q100.

    I'm looking into this question right now, and I'm checking with the quality group about this question.

    I had seen the post that you mentioned, that said that the device was qualified for older automotive standards, but I'm not sure of the meaning. Again, let me check and I'll post back with an answer.

    The ADS1115QDGSRQ1 was automotive qualified with a few exceptions to the AEC-Q100 standard. However, not all the tests per the standards have been performed. Therefore we cannot claim the device is fully compliant to AEC-Q100.

    For new developments, we recommend using the ADS1115BQDGSRQ1 which is fully AEC-Q100 compliant.
