TSW30SH84EVM: Automation of QMC gain, phase and offset adjustment through MATLAB.

Part Number: TSW30SH84EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC34SH84

Good Evening,

I am trying to automate the adjustment of offset , QMC phase and gain on TSW30SH84EVM through MATLAB. May I know whether there's any MATLAB example for this? It would also suffice if I am able to populate the values  on TSW30SH84 GUI through MATLAB.

Thanks and Warm Regards,

Prasidh

  • Prasidh,

We do not have anything like this. Also, all of GUI's were created from Labview.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Hi Jim,
Thanks very much for the quick response. I have been able to automate sending data to and from TSW1400EVM using MATLAB with the examples provided. Is it possible to write into the registers of DAC34SH84 through MATLAB while connected to TSW1400W? DAC34SH84 is on the EVM TSW30SH84 which is connected to TSW1400EVM through LVDS.

I find that there was a similar request raised by another user earlier in a different thread and he was provided with some MATLAB and Python scripts.

Here's a copy of the conversation.

    "Hi Josh,

Do you actually want to write a device control GUI in labview? Or just want to automate the device GUI controls? We do have some examples of matlab and python scripts which use an FTDI DLL and avoid opening the labview GUI completely.

If you just want automation, it is probably easier with matlab or python/C.

    " Hello Ken,

In this forum post we spoke about several example dll and automation code including labview examples for the TSW30SH84. Also you emailed me matlab automation which was helpful. I was wondering is there anyway you could send me the LabView examples you spoke of in the forum?
I tried to email you but I seemed to have some issues contacting you at your ti email, my email is joshj@udel.edu

    Thank you,

Any of those scripts might be useful to me as well.

    Thanks and Warm Regards,
