Hi,

we are using ADS4226 for our working design. but now I have difficulty purchasing this part.

Is this part getting obsolete?

I need 160MSPS ADC. I see ADS4229 is having the same pin out and also the programming registers maps similar.

Do you think we can use ADS4229 instead of ADS4226 with out much impact?

Ideally I want the programming of board with ADS4226 and ADS4229 do not change at 160MSPS sampling. Is this possible?

Prasanthi,

Yes, you can use the ADS4229 in place of the ADS4226. You can program both parts the same way. The only difference is the ADS4229 has 4 additional registers that you may want to program. You will need to check the data sheet regarding these registers and whether you need to program them or not.

We use the same exact pcb for both of the ADS4226 and ADS4229 EVM's we sell.

Hi Prasanthi,

The ADS4226 status is production and the part is recommended for new designs. For now if you need to purchase product for prototyping the ADS4229 will also work at the sample rate specified for the ADS4226.
