AMC1304M25: About safety limiting value

Guru 19495 points
Part Number: AMC1304M25

AMC1304 datasheet Page-7 is described about safety limiting value.

Although care about no exceed safety limit, I think that input circuit have difficult case for safety condition.

Please let me know about two points below;

①Is there reference circuit for prevent to exceed safety limit? (Especially I want to see input side)

②Is there any test data in the case of exceed safety limit?

 For example, whether isolation barrier is break (damage) or not.

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hi Satoshi,

    Section 7.8 refers to thermal conditions that can cause damage to the AMC1304M25. I don't have any specific reference circuit to share other than perhaps a fuse. What sort of test data are you looking for? Any current or overall power consumption that exceeds the limits shown in figures 3 and 4 could potentially damage the isolation barrier.
