Hello,
I'm using DAC8742HEVM and I-7561 (ICP-CON). And I send message from I7561 to DAC. In the GUI, I see this message. But I can't send a response message from the DAC to the I7561. If in the interface I enter more than 10 elements per section "HART/PAFF Write", the GUI is closed.
If I enter less than 10 elements, nothing happens. What could be the problem? In the I7561 data log, I can not see the incoming message.

Hi Dmitriy,

What settings are you using in the EVM GUI? I am able to send more than 10 bytes in SPI mode and can confirm with an oscilloscope that more than 10 bytes are being sent.

What do you mean that nothing happens with less than 10 elements in the "HART/PAFF Write" section? Are you monitoring MOD_OUT with an oscilloscope and not seeing the HART waveform?

I'm trying to send more than 10 bytes in UART mode, and when I click the button "Generate write OK", the GUI is closed (communication mode: hart). The smaller number of bytes(<10) is the wrong answer to the request for hart command 0. This is probably why I do not see the answer

Hi Dmitriy,

I tested transmitting more than 10 bytes in UART mode on the EVM and have confirmed your issue. The EVM GUI closes if more than 10 bytes are sent in UART mode. We are looking into a fix for this software bug and will update the EVM software as soon as we resolve the issue.

We have updated the DAC8742H EVM software so that the GUI does not close when sending more than 10 bytes in UART mode. You can download and reinstall the updated version at the link below.
