TSW14J56EVM: Regarding sampling at 10MSPS using ADC34J44EVM

Hello,

I am attempting to acquire data from ADC34J44EVM using TSW14J56EVM.

I have modified the configuration file of ADC34J44 to sample at 10MSPS as described below.

i. Changed register values of config file 'ADC3xJxx_80MSPS_Operation_LMK_Setting.cfg' i.e.

ii. In ADC3000GUI changed the serialization to 40x mode

I am using the ADC34J4x_LMF_442.ini file in the HSDC Pro Software while connecting to the TSW board.

I tried to capture data but received the following error.

How do I resolve this issue?

My main aim is to sample data at 10MSPS.

Siddharth,

Per the data sheet, the minimum sampling rate is 15MHz. These parts have internal PLL's used by the serdes and these have a minimum operating frequency range, which in many cases, sets the minimum sampling rate for the converter.

Will you let me know the procedure to sample at 15MSPS? What do I configure on the ADC34J44EVM and TSW14J56EVM boards?

Siddharth,

Due to the minimum serdes speed requirement of 600Mbps of the TSW14J56EVM, the minimum sample frequency you can operate this ADC at is 30MHz in 4421 mode.
