AFE5808: Questions for AFE5808A Example Registers Configuration Along with TIDA-01351

Part Number: AFE5808
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8900B, TIDA-01351,

Hi Experts,

Our customer is using AFE5808A as the altrasonic AFE circuit referring to TIDA-01351 CW circuits, and they want to know if we have any example registers configurations for this circuit? Also any example registers configuration for ADS8900B in CW circuits? Do we have any recommendations for the 1x and 16x clock frequency for AFE5808A?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Jacky,

  • Hi Jacky,

Thanks for helping customer using AFE5808A device.

Please tell the customer to read from TI AFE5808A User's Guide

how to set up CW mode hardware and setting the registers

(shown as example as the following pictures when running AFE5808A GUI).

All the details are described as below:

    1) Connect Analog Input 2.51MHz at Channel 1:

then after you setup the registers correctly,

you will see CW Output I and Output Q (both at 10KHz)

    (Note: No clock is needed.)

    2) Please make sure enable CW Mode

and check all other register settings:

    3) Then connect CW I output and Q output signals to the Scope

and check both signal Frequency and Amplitude.

after make sure these settings are running correctly,

then you can continue to use and connect to other devices as the customer wants.

    Thank you very much!

    Best regards,

    Chen
