ADS7947: 47 ohm source series termination resistor on digital lines?

Part Number: ADS7947

There is a description regarding 47 ohm source series termination resistors on SDO, SCLK, and CS on page 29 of the datasheet for proper termination.  What will these waveforms look like if they are not properly terminated? (i.e. no resistor).  Will they look the same, but produce errors in the digital output?  Or will there be visible changes in the waveform?  I am seeing the former.

  • Hello,
The signal will still be the same, but with the resistor it will be much cleaner. It is possible that rising/falling edges are not clocked in accurately and be causing data errors. The resistors should help, please implement them.
If the issue persists, I would suggest checking the timing with a scope shot. If so, please provide that to help further debug
