AFE4300: Should I replicate the impedance interface to the reference resistors?

Part Number: AFE4300

Hi,

I was wondering with regards to this interface in the AFE4300 data sheet, Figure 12. (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/afe4300.pdf)

Is it necessary to replicate this interface on the reference calibration resistors for consistency?

Also, I noticed that the AFE4300EVM do not have the dc feedback resistors in their interface. Why is that?

Thanks,

Jerome

  • Hi Jerome,

Yes, it is recommended to have same interface in calibration network as it makes sure the magnitude of excitation current is same between body impedance and calibration impedance measurement.

External resistor for DC  feedback can be placed on top of series capacitor in AFE4300EVM.
