ADS1013-Q1: About FSR

Part Number: ADS1013-Q1

Hi HI-Team

In my recognition that FSR is fixed at ± 2.048 V regardless of the VDD voltage.
If it it correct, the error of the VDD voltage does not affect the error of AD conversion.
Is it correct ?

  • Hi Hayashi-san,

    your understanding is correct.
The ADS1013-Q1 only offers the +/-2.048V FSR setting and this FSR setting is independent of the supply voltage that is used.

However changes in the supply voltage can in theory still affect the accuracy or resolution of the conversion result. On higher resolution ADCs we express this dependency usually as a PSRR specification. For ADS1013-Q1 we do not specify a PSRR because the effect is unnoticeable. Means the effect is much smaller than an LSB size.

    Thank you for quick response.

    I understand.
