TSW14J56EVM: REV B frimware / user manual

I have a Rev B version of the board and need the corresponding firmware and user manual. I'm having trouble loading the firmware (keep getting JTAG chain broken message) and I'm guessing that it is because of trying to use Rev D firmware (downloaded from the product page), or possibly some jumper setting. I have the Rev C manual, also from the product page), but the Rev B board is quite different.

Tim,

The GUI should recognize this as a Rev B board and load the appropriate firmware. Make sure your 5V supply can source at least 4 amps. If you try loading the firmware manually, use the file in the following directory:

C:\Program Files(86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\14J56 Details\Firmware\TSW14J56_MC_FIRMWARE.rbf

Ah. I am using the GUI, so I guess it should be okay (another post led me to the firmware version issue). The problem actually occurs when I try to load the firmware for the ADC EVM I have (ADS52J90EVM). After starting up and connecting to the TSW14J56, I select the ADS52J90 from the device drop down and that's when I get the "JTAG chain broken" error.

ADS52J90EVM supports TSW14J56 RevD hardware per GUI settings. Thus a newer version of TSW14J56 EVM is required. TI discoutoued RevB TSW14J56 a while back ago.

We also have a TSW14J57 Rev E. Would that work?

TSW14J57 is not supported, although it is a higher speed one.
