[FAQ] What are the main differences between the ADS1281, ADS1282, ADS1283, and ADS1284 products?

Can you help explain the differences between these devices?

  • Here are the key differences between these devices:

ADS1281 - This was the first ADC in ADS128x product family.

ADS1282 - Integrated a PGA & MUX in front of the delta-sigma modulator.

ADS1283 - Changed to a smaller package, reduced device's power consumption, added an internal offset to move idle tone, and added a /CS pin.

ADS1284 - Added an optional reduced power mode (from 18 mW to 12 mW). SNR in the low-power mode is reduced by 3 dB.
