ADS1231: ADS1231 Read jitter

HI Sir

I want to design a weight scale module,which use the ADS1231

because i don't have the load cell now,so i input the standard voltage to the ADC input,

but i found the mcu reading is jitter

the sw is on/ off swith by scope

but i install the standard load cell, the reading is stable

Please advise it.thanks

    Hi Alex,

    I'm not sure what you mean by 'the sw is on/off swith by scope'. 

    One issue with connecting a voltage to the ADC input is making sure that AINP and AINN are within the input common-mode range.  The analog input voltage must be between AVDD-1.5 to AGND+1.5V.  If the input is AGND referenced where one of the inputs is connected to AGND then you will have issues as this is outside of the common-mode input range.

    A load cell output will be centered around 1/2 of the excitation voltage which is within the common-mode input range.
