ADS1261: May I to know the ENOB,NFR diff?

Part Number: ADS1261
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS125H02, ADS125H01, ADS115H02, ADS115H01

hi Sir

I want to use the ADS1261 to be PLC AI module

Can you let me know the diff between Enob & ENR?

Thanks

  • Hello Alex,

    Thank you for your post.

By "ENR", are you referring to "Effective Resolution"?

ENOB is calculated as (Dynamic Range - 1.78) / 6.02.

Effective Resolution is calculated as ln(FSR / VNRMS) / ln(2).

    Best regards,

  • hi sir

i  also survey the ADI/AD4111, Do you have any comp table ?

  • Hi Alex,

Here are some key highlights comparing the AD4111 and our 24-bit, high voltage delta-sigma ADC, the ADS125H02

    1. ADS125H02 offers high input impedance (>1GΩ) that virtually eliminates errors due to sensor loading
    2. ADS125H02 offers an integrated, low-noise PGA (G = 1/8 : 128) for measuring high voltage inputs (±10V) as well as low-level process signals such as thermocouples (20-40mV) or RTDs
    3. ADS125H02 offers additional features such as current sources (IDACs) for sensor biasing, an integrated voltage reference, and GPIO pins that allow this ADC to be used as a simple platform solution for all input types
    4. This device family also offers a 24-bit basic version (ADS125H01) for simple high voltage (±10V) measurements, as well as 16-bit versions of each (ADS115H02 and ADS115H01)
    5. ADS125H02 comes in a small, 5x5mm QFN package

I will email you additional details.

  • Hi Alex,

One of our product marketing engineers will contact you offline with some detailed comparison information.
