DAC7811: - TIPD159/TIPD157: can the TINA-TI simulation model be added in the TI design?

Part Number: DAC7811
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, TIPD159, TIPD157,

Team,

A lot of TI design are now having the TINA-TI simulation file included.

Could the TINA-TI model of the simulated front end be added in the TIPD159 / TIPD157 files provided (or on this post)?

Also could you please mention if we new new OPAMP alternatives to the one used on this design?

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • Hello,

Those two particular TI Designs did not include complete SPICE models due to the unique nature of the DAC7811 and how it was used in those designs. The previous MDAC SPICE models we have developed did not extend support to that functionality. In the reference design documentation, error calculations are performed by hand for the most part barring a few simulations around the output amplifiers.

Many new amplifiers have been released since that reference design. The relevance of those amplifiers depends on the design goals. I would be happy to help if you can share more details about what the design is hoping to achieve, for both the DAC and the amplifier selection.
