Unfortunately I don't believe we have any additional information on the MUX that we can share on a public forum. I do not directly support this device, so someone else may have additional information. Are you interested in how MUX's work in general or for this device specifically?

The ADS1211 mux is basically just a set of analog switches. The switches are break before make, but as the input structure of the ADC is of a switched capacitor type there could be some residual charge on the input caps that may appear as crosstalk when fast cycling the mux. This analog settling should be accounted for when switching input channels.
Devices such as the ADS124S08 and ADS1261 have a built in feature that can automatically delay the start of conversion when switching channels. This start of conversion delay is a register setting in the device and is configurable.
