TSW1400EVM: Unable to connect due to missing driver

Part Number: TSW1400EVM

Hello,

After installing the GUI and connecting through USB, no driver is detected and can't connect to the board.

Regards,

  • ALB,

Try disconnecting the USB cable then re-connecting it. Use Device Manger to verify the USB driver has installed properly. See the HSDC Pro User's guide for more help debugging this issue.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jim,

I have tried all of them and none of them made progress. The device manager only recognizes TSW1400 as Other devices. Is there a way to manually install the driver?

    Regards,

  • 5428.slwu087d.pdfALB,

See page 8 of the attached document.

  • Jim,

I tried all the troubleshooting suggestions described in the pdf, but none of them resolve the issue(FTDI uninstall, Cypress USB driver install). Can you just direct me to where I can manually download and install the drivers.

    Regards,

  • Hi Jim,

We are still unable to communicate to the board due to the driver issue and it has been awhile since we raised this issue. Can you please advise on how we can resolve this issue? Can we schedule a troubleshooting session with the technical support who can help? Would a direct driver download be a solution?

    Regards,

  • ALB,

There is a chance the FTDI device is not enumerated properly on your board. Please use the attached files to verify how the device is enumerated. If it is not enumerated properly, the GUI required to do this is attached along with the file needed and instructions.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jim,

You were dead right on the FTDI driver causing the issue. I was able to properly reinstall the FTDI and now the TSW1400 is capturing data even though the data is doesn't match what TI has shown. Thank you very much for resolving this hurdle for us. Your illustrative slides were very helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Albert
