DAC80508: load current from 0V to Vout when VDD 3.3V

Part Number: DAC80508
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC53608

What the load current can be bear from 0V to Vout when VDD=3.3V?

Do you have the test data or plot to describe it ?

  • Hello,

The Electrical Characteristics Table indicates that the specifications were collected with VDD from 2.7V to 5.5V. As such, the table applies to your requested case of 3.3V VDD.

On page 8 you will find the DC output impedance. This applies to the entire linear region of operation. What would be considered linear depends on the relationship of VDD and VREF in your system.

  • Hi Kevin,

thanks for your reply, another question as below

We plan use VDAC to heater and produce 6mA current as below structure, but do the VDAC of DAC80508 and DAC53608 can bear at least 6mA? If Not , do you have any IC solution(4 port or 8 port VDAC,combine I2C function) can advise to us?

  • Hi Jericho,

The DAC80508 and DAC53608 can both drive 6mA into a load.  This should not be a problem for either.

    Thanks,

    Paul
