I working on the ADC evm kit without the MMB0 motherboard and using an external microcontroller. The kit is working fine but I wanted to increase the range of analog inputs. As per the datasheet, the range is set to 0 to Vref, and the default Vref being 2.5V generated on-board. I wish to sense voltages upto 5V and wanted to know if there is any consideration I should keep in mind before applying external Vref of 5V or if it can damage the chip. The absolute maximum rating is 7V, but I do not wish to put the ADC through non-standard conditions.
