ADS124S08: AVDD effects on ADC measurement accuracies

Part Number: ADS124S08

What effect does the AVDD input supply have on ADC accuracies?  I understand the Vref inputs are limited by AVDD by the datasheet specifications but does voltage variations on AVDD effect the Vref or accuracy of the measured signals as long as AVDD remains higher than Vref? Thanks for any input.

  • Hi Jimmy,

The specification you are looking for relates to the PSRR (power supply rejection ratio) which is given in the ADS124S08 datasheet on page 10 at the bottom of the table.  So there are a couple things to consider.  One relates to the change in DC voltage of the supply, and the other is related to the external noise sources such as power line-cycle noise.

    Best regards,
