DDC264: DDC264 don't have DVALID signal

Part Number: DDC264

Dear colleague,

Our customer encountered below issue:

Operation steps:

1. After power on, send RESET signal (low level) to DDC264, reset is normal; After reset, start register configuration.

2. Send configuration information(FORMAT=1, Set 16Bit output, send "0010 0000 1000 0000"), then DDC264 return “30F066012480F6h”, it meets the datasheet description.

3. Send CONV signal, after signal changes, DDC264 doesn't return DVALID signal, so no DOUT signal.

Control logic is as below:

Is there any problem with the above configuration and control of DDC264? Why there is no DVALID signal?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,

Rock Su

  • Hi Rock,

If I go by the image that was attached, it seems like DCLK is a free-running clock.

DCLK is only used to read out the data. It should be disabled by taking it low once the data is shifted out and while CONV is transitioning.

Also, DOUT seems to start changing after some specific time interval after the CONV edge. What is that time interval? Is it about 276 us?

  • Dear  Praveen,

Thank you for your reply. At present, we have found a new problem and are investigating the cause internally. Once the problem is identified, we will immediately feedback to you, thanks!
