ADS7953: 20 channel ADC issue

hello 

   we have a new project that need 20channel ADC,because this project need modify on the exisiting project and ,that project has used ADS7953 which is 16 channel,so i need to find a other ADC which has 4 channel,in our library,we have ADS1112,and ADS8343.

  which one is more suitalbe for us,i think the analog input(measuring range) ,precision  and speed must be as same as ADS7953,please give me your advice,thanks

    Hi,

    What device that we recommend depends a little on what specification is important. First what data rate do you need? The ADS7953 has a data rate of 1MSPS but all the other devices that you suggested ADS1112 and ADS8343 are much lower in data rate (128SPS and 100kSPS vs 1MSPS).

    If a lower data rate is OK, I would probably use the ADS1115 (I2C communication) or the ADS1118 (SPI communication). Both devices are four multiplexed single-ended channels and have on-board references. Note that these devices can be run as single ended, but the data is reported as differential (with the single-ended measurement, the data is basically 15-bits).

    Again, it would help to know what specifications are important, and what the application is.
