Hello,

Recently I found an application where an ADS1248 is used up to 200Vdc input (below image).

I assume it is possible due to the internal PGA stage.

Is it possible to do this kind of application? if so, then the ADS1263 is capable as well right?

    The internal PGA of the ADS1263 allows it to measure voltage sources with high output-impedances (such as large resistor dividers). However, the absolute and differential input currents of the ADS124S08 are smaller, so I would expect the ADS124S08 to perform better for this particular type of application.

    Then, according to this as long as the input current is in the standard range it can accept voltages up to 200Vdc (as in the attached schematic case).

    How high (on AINx terminals), in the voltage range can I go without damaging the device?

    The analog inputs can tolerate up to AVDD + 0.3V before turning on the internal ESD diodes, and the internal ESD diodes can operate with a continuous 10 mA of current without any degradation to device reliability. Therefore, as long as you limit the input current to less than 10 mA and ensure that the AVDD supply rail can sink current (which in some cases may require a Zener diode connected between AVDD and ground) then you can exceed the absolute maximum limit of AVDD + 0.3V, as given by Table 7.1 in the datasheet.
