ADS1248: Basic functionality of ADS1248

Hi all,

Basically i am not good in basic electronics. Present i am working with ADS1248.


I am confusing to understand ADS1248 Working.I red datasheet of it and basic measurement using RTD but i am understanding exact flow of ADS1248


by connecting it to RTD Sensor. And mainly how external reference voltage is used to convert analog voltage into digital value? How can we provide it to ADS1248.

Anyone please guide me to how to use ADS1248.

    Hi Amarr,

    The two best documents for you are going to be the ADS1248 datasheet and A Basic Guide to RTD Measurements: 

    Please read both of these documents in their entirety. 

    The Basic Guide to RTD Measurements shows step by step how to read from the RTD and the flow of the measurement. 

    Please see section 9.3.1 ADC Input and Multiplexer in the datasheet, the external reference voltage can be read by configuring the input MUX.
