ADS1294R: What does "1100" mean in "status word"

Part Number: ADS1294R

Dear TI,

In the ADS1294r datasheet p.53,  "9.4.1.3.1 Status Word" is not enought documented.

The status word is composed of "1100", then LOFF_STATP, LOFF_STATN and GPIO stuff.

What is the "1100" value ? Is there any check to do on this value ? Is it a kind of frame header ?

What shall we do if it's not this value ?

Thank you.

  • Hi Charles,

The 1100 portion of the status word is simply the frame header. If 1100 is not being returned in the first portion of the status word, more than likely there is something wrong with the device. This could range from incorrect power-up to device damage. I would recommend resetting the device if 1100 is not returned.
