AMC1336: Schematic Review of Line Voltage Sense Circuit

Part Number: AMC1336

Hi, E2E!

I would like to request a schematic review of a small line voltage sense circuit using the AMC1336.

The purpose of the circuit is to provide a replica of the line voltage to the microcontroller of the system in the secondary side.

Please refer to the attached PDF.

Thanks!UAA1-S1-001-LVS.pdf

  • Hi Diego!

Great to hear from you, I hope all is well!

Only comments are to consider breaking up R1 & R4 into multiple resistors as you're dropping quite a bit over a single resistor and that can be pricey to do safely.

Depending on the length of the trace and characteristics of the SDFM, you may also want to consider adding a capacitor to the DOUT line and/or an RC to the clocking line. This is typically in the neighborhood of 50ohm & 10pf. This device has robust drive strength, so this may not be necessary.

  • Hi, Alex,

Things are going great, hope you are doing well!

Thanks for the fast response, we will check this out and will let you know if we have any additional questions.

    Best Regards,
