ADS1259: reset recovery

Part Number: ADS1259

What is the impact of violating the reset/power-down recovery times, tRHSC-- i.e., time from rising edge of RESETn input pin or exit of PowerDown mode to the first rising edge of SPI SCLK input.

What is the consequence when these minimums are violated? Does the interface fail indefinitely? Does the interface merely temporarily fail until the minimum is reached?

Please advise.

  • Hi Joe,

The reset timing exists to ensure that the blocks inside the ADS1259 that have powered down have enough time to reach a settled state before starting the sampling process. Violating these requirements can leave the device in an unknown state. Under these conditions, datasheet performance and device operation are not guaranteed.

We do not recommend violating any of the ADS1259 timing specs given in the datasheet.
