ADS8363: ADS8363

Part Number: ADS8363

Hi

We are using ADS8363 REFIO1 and REFIO2 as recommended in manual, connected to a 22uF capacitor directly on pin.

We are sending the device command to enable REFIO output and set it to 2.5V

What we are seeing is an extremely low rise of output voltage (roughly takes 10 sec to rise from 0 to 2.5V output level)

While data sheet states normal settling time of 8mS for REFIO.

Is there something we are doing wrong? is this supposed to rise this slowly from 0 to full range 2.5V?

Thx

Leor

  • Hi Leor,

Can you possibly send us details on the command cycle you are using to enable the REFIO on the ADS8363?  A screen capture showing your SDI, SCLK and the chip select line would be a great start.

  • Hi Cyntia,

I got your reply to my email but for some reason I cannot see it here is the E2E system, I only see one reply from Tom.

So I hope u are seeing this.

Below is an excerpt of the REFIO connection on our board.

Per data sheet recommendation we have a 22uF ! ceramic capacitor on REFIO pins, so I am not sure what a 1Mohm 50pf probe can do to further load this pin?

We do have an opamp connected to REFIO as we want to use this voltage level externally. but again compared to 22uF cap on pin I dont see how this can be overloading.

We do not see any dips in power supply.

Below is part of the schematic of REFIO, if u need to see larger sections just let me know

    Thx for your help

  • Hi Tom,

    Thx for you reply

I will prepare and send this asap.

I also got a reply from Cyntia to this post which I got to my email but for some reason could not see here reply here on the system and respond to it.

She requested t see part of the scematic.

Snyhow, I hop she sees it here

  • Hi Leor,

Your attachments did not come through, so when you get the scope capture, please re-attach the schematic as well.

  • Hi,

finally we found the problem in our sequencing

so all is working well now

    thx for your support
