Hello,


Will changing the resistor value of the resistors on M0/M1/M2 affect power consumption at all? Or not really because the settings of those pins are latched on startup?

    Michael,

    There may be an instant where there is a different amount of current consumed, but it is not a continuous current and won’t substantively affect the current consumption. Once the pin values are latched, the detection is shut down. The M0-M2 pins are latched at startup (and any other time the device receives a RESET pin pulse or RESET command). 

    Incidentally, the datasheet recommends keeping the resistors below 1kΩ for the connection to the M0-M2 pins. They need to be moderately low impedance for the connection detection circuitry.
