Part Number: ADS127L01EVM

I have installed all the software and devices package, but I still can not connect the board to my computer by the attached USB cable. Also, I have followed the procedure in the user's guide, and I sure that all the preparation I have done is ok and the light D4 also shined. 'Hardware not connected' also shows on the bottom of the software. So could you give me some advice to help me?

Thank you guys very much.

  • Hello Chengdong,

Welcome to the TI E2E community.

The error could be due to hardware or driver error.

Please confirm the ADS127L01EVM is configured with the default jumper settings.

The jumper headers circled should be left open (no jumper):

If all jumpers are correct, then the drivers may have failed to load.  When connecting the USB cable and the ADS127L01EVM powers up, check the Device Manager to confirm that the TivaWare - Generic Bulk Device driver has loaded.

If the below driver does not show up, then you may need administrator rights on your Windows PC in order to properly install the drivers.

    Hello, Keith Nicholas,
Thank you very much for your answer and advice.

I checked the board which I used, and confirmed it was configured with the default jumper settings correctly.
Also, I uninstalled the drivers and installed them again with administrator rights. When I connected the board on my pc, it has recognized this board as a Generic Bulk Device, but it shows 'The driver for this device is not installed. (Code 28)'.
I tried lots of times for uninstalling and installing the driver, but this problem still exists, and all the installers were downloaded from the official site. Furthermore, I also have tried another pc, and this problem happens again.

Also, the system version of my pc is windows 10 1909, maybe this is the key to the happening.

    Thanks,

    Hi Chengdong,

Try connecting the EVM board to a different USB port.  This will sometimes force the proper installation of the driver.  If this does not work, then go into the device manager and manually install the driver.

You can right click on the Generic Bulk Device, select 'update driver', and then browse to the driver on your hard drive.  If you installed to the default location, you should find it here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DSEvalSW\Drivers\usb_dev_bulk.inf

Again, make sure you have administrator rights when doing this manual driver install.

    Regards,
    Keith
