ADS1298: SPI pin consumption

Part Number: ADS1298

Hello TI Team,

I need to communicate with my MCU to up to 8 ADS1298 successively.
However, I have a consumption constraint on this function and I need to loose as few power as possible.
Then, I was wondering what was the impedance at the input for the signal MOSI and SCLK, to approximately calculate how much power I shall allocate to this function.
I guess it should be high, since they only are inputs...
Could you please provide me the information?

Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Hi Benjamin,

Unfortunately, we don't have the specific design information for the input signal MOSI and SCLK. We have the IBIS model on the product page of the ADS1298 which hopefully you will find useful. The information in the IBIS model is only pertinent to the packaging material (i.e. bond wire inductance, capacitance from bond wire to the die, etc.). It is not reflective of the design characteristics.

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Shame... Thanks for this quick reply, anyway!
