ADS7953: Powerup sequence information missing for DI05 bit set power down method

Part Number: ADS7953

Hi

I am currently using ADS7953  chip in data acquisition and we are lookin at ways for powerdown and powerup. As I looked at the Datasheet I found that there are two methods to do it
Method 1 involves just setting DI05 bit in mode control register and the Chip will be powered down at the 16th falling edge clk of the next data frame.
Method 2 involves controlling thru GPIO 3 pin reset .
Method 2 has a clear procedure for powering up on CS falling edge  with DI05 0 in the mode control register and GPIO3 is set to high .

So what is the procedure to Powerup the chip when only using the DI05 bit set power down method

Thanks

  • Hello,

when using the DIO5 to power down the device, to power up again, this register needs to be cleared

A falling CS edge followed by clearing DIO5 will power up the device, the device will be awake in  the 16th falling edge of SCLK in the next data frame

    Regards
